Hula is a dance richly ingrained in Hawaiian culture, a unique experience best learned privately or in small groups. However, watching Hula can be enjoyed by many people at once! If you are staying at Sands of Kahana and looking to take some Hula lessons during your visit, Hawaii Hula Company will arrange a professional Hula instructor to come to you or your group with costumes, music, fresh flowers and leis to help you dress Hula-style for your lesson.

Lessons are typically conducted on the beach, a grassy area or in the privacy of your room. You will learn the history of Hula, what Hula is, Hawaiian culture and how to make flower rosettes to pin in your hair like a Hula dancer. The Aloha spirit at Hawaii Hula Company is evident; their native Hawaiian dancers are ready to share Hula and Tahitian culture with guests. Additionally, a Lei making workshop can be added to your Hula experience—just ask.

Hula lessons are also available at the Lahaina Cannery Mall every Thursday at 5 p.m. and Whaler’s Village every Friday from 3-4 p.m. You’re sure to have a great time!
