It’s winter season and there’s been lots of activity on the main-land from snow storms to blizzards, however at the Sands of Kahana temperatures stay consistent (ranging from 70 to 80 degrees) through January and February.  If you’re at the Sands of Kahana during these months be sure to check out these great activities on the island:

Whale Watching – Whale watching months are December 15 through April 15 but we hear that the best time to really spot whales is in February. To book a whale watching boat to get up close and personal with these gentle giants, be sure to visit the Sands of Kahana concierge desk and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Haleakala Mountain – If you’re visiting the Sands of Kahana this winter, make sure to check out the Haleakala National Park where they recently received some snowfall at the summit.  At the park you can also hike though colorful lava rocks while witnessing native birds or visit the wilderness area of the mountain where you can see cloud forests dripping with red and green ferns.

Zip-Lining – If adventure is more your speed this season, make sure to check out the zip-line tours.  Zip-lining is a great way to see the beautiful scenery of Maui while zig zagging your way over slopes and ridges on one of Maui’s mountains.  For more information on the best zip-lining tours on the island, please visit our friendly Sands of Kahana concierge staff and they’ll be happy to help you.

For more fun tips and activities, be sure to visit the Sands of Kahana Concierge desk.  Hours of operations are from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Next week’s weather forecast at the Sands of Kahana averages around 79 degrees: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USHI0055.
