Fireworks over Maui

While we’ve decided to forgo a New Year’s Eve celebration at Sands of Kahana and are closing our bar and restaurant at 10 p.m., there are plenty of fun things to do on Maui to help you ring in 2012. If you like fireworks, you won’t want to miss the big show at the barge between the Four Seasons and Grand Wailea Hotel. The fireworks begin at midnight over the water near Wailea Beach in south Maui. You are advised to arrive early in order to secure a prime spot on the sand. If you prefer to watch the fireworks display from the water, several boat companies are offering cocktail and/or dinner cruises for your enjoyment.
